Builders
Who Is Building Voxium
Voxium is currently being built by a small core team focused on creating a voxel MMORPG on Abstract.

Recruiting Builders
Voxium is looking for more people who are passionate about multiplayer worlds, voxel game feel, RPG systems, on-chain game infrastructure, and community-driven development on Abstract.
Current build
What Voxium Is Today
Voxium is a browser-playable voxel world focused on character progression, gathering, crafting, combat, and exploration.Play
Create a character, choose a class, enter the starting island, fight with a live combat HUD, manage skills and equipment, gather resources, craft supplies, trade with merchants, and grow through professions.
Starting Island
The starting island is where Voxium first stirs to life in alpha: a small, enchanted foothold where new heroes gather their strength before the portal opens and the wider realm awakens.
Arena
Queue for structured PvP brackets, test builds against other players, track match outcomes, and use class skills, gear choices, positioning, and timing to win focused fights.
Battlefield
Teleport directly into RED versus BLUE mass PvP, join a temporary squad of up to five, fight around tiny camp safe zones, and risk eligible carried items for high-reward combat.
Dungeons
Enter dungeon runs for harder PvE, party pressure, tiered encounters, stronger enemy pulls, boss-style objectives, and reward paths that scale beyond open-world starter monsters.
Auction
List gear, materials, crafted goods, and rare drops for other players, browse live market supply, and turn dungeon, profession, and combat rewards into the wider in-game economy.
PvP risk
Arena, Battlefield & Death
Structured arena is for ranked fights. Battlefield is the high-risk mass PvP teleport where YOLO is taken literally.Ranked Arena
Use the Arena menu to queue 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3 ranked fights. Solo and party requirements stay bracket-specific.
Battlefield Teleport
Use the Battlefield section in the same Arena menu to teleport immediately into RED or BLUE. The server places players into temporary squads capped at five.
Death Is Death
Battlefield is high risk by intent: eligible carried items and non-starter equipment are awarded directly to the top-contribution enemy squad when you die.
Mounts Stay Protected
Mount items are tradeable, but they are not loseable through death. Keep your mount; lose the risky loadout you chose to carry.
Core loop
How Progression Fits Together
The design goal is that every material, item, skill, and class choice feeds another system instead of existing as isolated flavor.Create a character
Pick a base class, name the character, tune appearance, then enter the world with class stats and early skills attached.
Gather and craft
Mine rocks, chop trees, harvest grasses, bushes, flowers, mushrooms, and crops, then refine those materials into useful inventory items.
Fight and level
Use class skills, equipment, consumables, and positioning to clear PvE threats, queue arenas, or enter battlefield mass PvP.
Specialize at level 20
Choose an optional subclass for stronger scaling, a defined combat role, and a third subclass skill row. The first two skill rows are available from the start.
Character systems
Levels, Skills & Equipment
Class identity starts immediately, then broadens with skill unlocks, equipment slots, and optional subclass specialization.Leveling
Characters currently level from 1 to 50. Base class skills unlock across early levels, with each class defining six named abilities in the game data.
Subclass Specialization
At level 20, each class can branch into one of two subclasses. Subclass choice is optional, but it unlocks stronger stat packages, subclass skills, and a third skill row above the two rows available before specialization.
Equipment
The active equipment model supports mainHand, offHand, head, chest, legs, feet, hands, neck, ring, trinket, backpack. Items carry combat stats and class affinity.
World economy
Professions, Gathering & Crafting
Gather directly from the world, then use profession tools and crafting stations to turn those materials into useful supplies.Harvestable plants
Farming nodes are built into the village vegetation: grasses provide fiber, bushes provide berries or herbs, flowers provide herbs, watermint, or glowcaps, and mushroom patches provide mushrooms. Nearby plants in a dense flowerbed can act as one harvest cluster.
Plant, water, regrow
Harvest a ready plant for materials and Farming XP. A depleted node can be replanted with Farming Seeds, watered with a Watering Can, and harvested again after it regrows. Planting and watering also award Farming XP.

Mining
Extract stone, ore, coal, crystal, and claim-building materials.

Woodcutting
Harvest logs and timber used in tools, buildings, and workbenches.

Farming
Harvest grasses, bushes, flowers, mushrooms, and crops for materials, then plant seeds, water depleted nodes, and grow them again.

Fishing
Catch fish and water reagents for cooking and alchemy.

Blacksmithing
Smelt ore into metal bars at furnaces, then forge tools, melee weapons, armor parts, and reinforced blocks at the anvil.

Carpentry
Craft planks, bows, handles, furniture, and claim structures.

Alchemy
Turn herbs, fish oils, and crystals into consumables.

Cooking
Prepare fish and gathered ingredients into recovery food.

Enchanting
Use crystals, runes, and rare drops to empower crafted equipment.

Agility
Master parkour courses for XP; higher levels regenerate sprint stamina faster.

Prayer
Bury the remains of the fallen, commune at wayshrines, and bind votive offerings to earn favor and unlock prayers.
Monsters and gold
Monsters, Dungeons & Gold
Fight player-facing monsters for XP and coin drops, then push into dungeon tiers where stronger enemies and bosses become the main gold path.Coin Values
CopperEveryday flow1 Copper
SilverMeaningful stack1 Silver
GoldProtected wealth1 Gold
Gold Flow
Open-world monsters start the wallet. Dungeon tiers and world events push the reward curve higher, while merchants and auctions give resources places to move instead of sitting idle. Spawn merchant stock currently ranges from 24 Copper to 320 Copper.
Dungeon Runs
Dungeon tiers turn starter combat into tighter routes, stronger pulls, boss-style objectives, and better reward pressure than open-world starter monsters can offer.
World Events
- Entry Rules
- Join/refuse popup, persistent HUD icon, five-minute prep window, and locked entry once combat starts. Joining requires being alive and out of combat; death blocks re-entry for that round.
- Reward Settlement
- Boss difficulty scales to entered players. Loot is awarded directly to eligible participants, with bonuses for damage, healing, tanking, survival, mechanics participation, and luck.
Classes & Level 20 Subclasses
Warrior
For players who like standing where the danger is: build rage, hold the line, then answer with swords, axes, hammers, or a very persuasive shield.
Starts at level 1 and can level to 20 before choosing a subclass. Level cap: 50.
Level 20 Subclasses OptionalRanger
For patient hunters who prefer trouble at arrowโs length: kite, trap, and strike precisely with bows, crossbows, or a spear when plans get bitey.
Starts at level 1 and can level to 20 before choosing a subclass. Level cap: 50.
Level 20 Subclasses OptionalMage
For tactical spell-slingers who turn mana into spectacular problems: control the field with a staff or stave, keeping a dagger or shield for awkward conversations.
Starts at level 1 and can level to 20 before choosing a subclass. Level cap: 50.
Level 20 Subclasses OptionalRogue
For quick hands and questionable timing: dodge, poison, and burst from the shadows with daggers, light swords, claws, or a compact bow.
Starts at level 1 and can level to 20 before choosing a subclass. Level cap: 50.
Level 20 Subclasses OptionalShaman
For adaptable spirit-talkers who heal, plant totems, and brawl when asked, favoring staves, maces, spears, claws, and shields blessed by something chatty.
Starts at level 1 and can level to 20 before choosing a subclass. Level cap: 50.
Level 20 Subclasses OptionalCleric
For stalwart party-savers who enjoy healing friends and bonking evil: protect the group with maces, hammers, staves, and shields.
